August Lane
“”August Lane” talks about a specific time and place. I’m always citing street names, times of year, everything has a time/date stamp on it. You can almost see people pitching their tents at the local festival and cooking out/tailgating. I’m kind of obsessed with my memories, growing up in Memphis at that time of year. Memphis is home and a place I get home to because I’m gone a lot. “August Lane” takes place elsewhere and I’m trying to get here.”

“This sums up what it means to be on the road, what it means to come home to a place like Memphis, what it means to miss your family and friends.”
